Abstract

This lecture overviews Active and Passive 3D shape reconstruction methods that has many applications in 3D computer vision, autonomous systems perception and medical imaging. It covers the following topics in detail: Time of Flight (ToF) methods, combining ToF and RGB sensor data, LiDAR, Active Triangulation, Microsoft Kinect, Orbbec, SONAR. Shape from Texture, Shape from Shading and Shape from Focus.
