The Icarus research team is a Special Interest Group consisting of aspiring undergraduate/postgraduate students and young professionals with interests in Computer Vision, Machine Learning and Autonomous Systems. The group is in close collaboration with the Computer Vision and Machine Learning (AIIA.CVML) of the Artificial Intelligence and Information Analysis laboratory.

The Icarus’ group contribution includes, but is not limited to:

  • Drone hardware support and development.
  • Drone software development.
  • Research in Computer Vision and Machine Learning (e.g. Object Detection/Tracking, Fast Convolution Algorithms, Generative Adversarial Networks, Computational Politics, Computational Pharmaceutics, Financial Engineering and more)
